We read about identity theft stories all the time. A lot of our personal, medical and financial information are stored in magnetic storage devices such as VHS tapes, audiotapes, data tapes, camcorder tapes, floppy disks, zip disks, internal and external hard drives.
The Erase-O-Matic can wipe clean all the magnetic data located on these devices. It uses rare-earth magnets enclosed in structural steel case instead of electro-magnets. The EOM operates without electricity and thus there is no cost to operate. This eco-friendly device is silent, portable and needs no cooling time. The degausser needs no maintenance and requires no special operating, handling or processing skills.
All tapes are passed once, rotated 180 degrees and then passed again. EOM-1 costs about $400 and the bigger version EOM-3 which is great for larger data storage devices retails for $1500.
