Epson, a company that has a long history in the printer business dating back to the days of the dot matrix printer has launched a new printer that has been designed to cater to the needs of artists and photographers in the crowd.
The printer is the Epson Stylus Photo R3000, a printer which provides users with not only colored printouts, but also black and white output that is said to be of gallery quality. The device has been designed for flexibility, accepting a range of different paper sizes and types and it is also compatible with the high capacity single ink cartridges that Epson carries. This printer can also be network connected through either an Ethernet connection or if a wired connection is not your thing, then it also supports 802.11n WiFi connectivity.
It’s because the Stylus Photo R3000 has been developed for professionals that considerable focus has been placed on the final output and so this printer is capable of a wide color gamut with vibrant violet and blue colors as well as smooth transitions between the colors. Users will also notice the improvements in shadow detail and highlights when compared to a standard printer.
The Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer will go on sale in March 2011 for $849.
