The new Sharp TVs have backlit LED technology which greatly improves the image quality and also reduces energy consumption by 40 percent when compared to other LCD TVs. Both series have hundreds of LEDs placed behind the screen which provide for a brighter and vibrant image. The Sharp LE600 and LE700 are mercury free and have an eco friendly performance.
The LE600 is available in screen sizes ranging between 32 to 46 inches, has 3 HDMI ports, but no USB Port. The LE700 has the same screen sizes as the LE600 plus a 52 inch option. Additionally, it has 4 HDMI ports, a USB port for playback of MP3 and JPEG files, a 4 ms response time and an additional 100 Hz refresh rate to improve the quality of moving pictures.
Both series have 1920 x 1080 resolutions, Sharp X-Gen panel, Mega contrast, brilliant color processing and the contrast ratio of 4,000:1. The MSRP ranges from $1,500 to $3,800
