The online auction site eBay already had a buying app available for the iPhone and has now followed that up with a selling app. eBay claims that this app is quite effective, allowing a seller to maintain his online business in a prompt and efficient manner. Placing a listing up on the website through the app can be done in under one minute and this includes track listing a CD.

The listing forms are filled out in a somewhat automated fashion as the app can make use of barcode scanning technology. To promote the launch of the new app, Ebay will offer online sellers a free listing on their site up until July 29th.
