Dyson City DC26 Mini Vacuum Cleaner

You may remember British inventor James Dyson who we featured last year for his innovative bladeless room fan. Well, it turns out he is back with a new and rather “small” invention in the form of a mini vacuum cleaner.

Called the Dyson City DC26, this palm sized vacuum is the size of a standard sized A4 sheet of paper and weighs less then 8lbs, 7.7 lbs to be exact. The Dyson vacuum which is one third smaller then an earlier Dyson model took five years of development time to perfect. In terms of suctioning power, it’s believed that this vacuum rivals that of the larger Dyson vacuum cleaners.

The new device has been made for small apartments and tight living spaces. The only thing holding it back may be price. Although small in size, this mini vacuum cleaner retails for $400 but no one ever said trendy was cheap. It’s already available in Japan, will be in the UK tomorrow and there is no word about availability for the US market.
