Ion Audio announced today that Drum Rocker, the official drum set for Rock Band 2 is now available for consumers and retailers. The XBOX 360 version will be the first to ship, followed by versions for other gaming systems in the coming months.
Drum Rocker was specifically designed for Rock Band 2, but is compatible with Rock Band and Guitar Hero:World Tour. What sets Drum Rocker apart from other gaming controllers is the fact that it allows you to add professional drum modules such as Alesis DM5, thereby turning it into a professional electronic drum set.
Drum Rocker comes with four drum pads and a series of cymbal pads which are velocity sensitive allowing for just that added realism. Demand has been high for Drum Rocker, which is expected to have a U.S. MSRP of $299.99.
