Dell has announced the availability of the 14z laptop for those on the go. Geared towards the college crowd, this lightweight laptop weighs 4.3 lbs, is available in 5 vibrant colors, and includes a Powershare USB charging feature that allows you to charge mobile devices.
Other features of this laptop include an Intel Core2 Duo processor, Hi Definition widescreen display, WiFi connectivity, NVIDIA GeForce 9400 graphics card, 1.3MP webcam and FailSafe, a laptop antitheft device that will allow you to locate your laptop if it is ever stolen and connected to the net. Optionally, you can select an 8-in-1 memory card reader and a hard drive up to 500GB.
What’s missing on this laptop is an internal laptop optical drive although an external one is available for purchase.
The new laptops will retail for $649.
