While everyone’s waiting for Apple to come up with the much-awaited, highly-rumored Mac Tablet, other companies like Dell are hard at work beating it to the punch. Right now, the rumor mill is buzzing about a Dell Android tablet — and while Dell is keeping mum on things, a few tasty details have surfaced.
A few other tablets are already poised to make a splash in the tablet market, such as the recently-announced JooJoo (which used to be the CrunchPad), and the Archos Internet Tablet, which has been around for a while. The supposed Dell Android tablet will be another handheld device that’s larger than your usual smartphone, but smaller than your usual netbook.
So far, we know that the Dell Android tablet is going to have a 5-inch touchscreen display, run on the Android OS, and will be coming around next year. Many people believe Dell will announce the big news in Las Vegas, at the CES 2010.
Since Dell isn’t confirming or denying any of the details, we’ll just have to keep our eyes open and ears perked for the latest news on this little baby.
