If you are looking for a cheap Android phone and aren’t to concerned about an outdated OS version, the Dell Aero might be something to consider. Today is when AT&T will begin carrying the Dell smartphone which will sell for $99 through the US mobile carrier.

The Dell phone won’t in any way affect iPhone sales as this smartphone ships with the antiquated Android 1.5. We first heard about the Dell Aero back in March of this year and at that time, there were some notable features worth mentioning. First is the fact that this smartphone is relatively light, weighing in at 3.7 ounces. The handset also comes with a 3.5-inch touchscreen display, a 5MP camera, and a 624Mhz CPU, which does account for the low price of this phone.

What the Aero has going for it is affordability. At $99 with contract or $299 contract free, the Aero is one of the more affordable Android phones that is available today. The Dell handset can be purchased through either the Dell or AT&T website.
