Dell has announced a price drop of $500 on their Adamo laptops that were designed to compete with the MacBook Air. The new base price for the super slim laptop is $1,499.
The Adamo comes standard with a 1.2Ghz Core 2 Duo Intel processor, 2GB DDR3 RAM, 128GB SSD and integrated WiFi and Bluetooth capability.
Even with the lower price, the MacBook Air does seem to offer better value for the dollar which will mean that Dell will either need to reduce the price a little further or improve upon the specifications of their units in order to compete better. It is however a step in the right direction for Dell.
