Datawind Ubisurfer Free Internet

Free internet (with restrictions of course) is the new promo available with the latest Datawind netbook set to hit markets. Datawind, the makers of the PocketSurfer range of internet handsets will enter into the netbook market with an offer too good to resist.

The Ubisurfer, the newest laptop to hit the scene, will feature 30 hours of free internet access each month for the first year. The 30 hours of free internet per month, which equates to 360 free hours of internet usage over the year, is part of the retail price of £159.99.

For those who enjoy surfing the net while out and about, this is a great way to stay connected without locking into a contract. The netbooks are connected to Wi-Fi as well as GPRS for different internet options.

Additional features of the new laptop include 128 MB RAM, 1 GB solid state drive (SSD), a 7 inch screen, speakers, earphone jack, touchpad mouse, SD card slot, 3 USB ports and a built in microphone. The laptop is relatively lightweight in comparison to its main competitors – Toshiba, Acer and Samsung. Users can also count on email, paint, PDF viewer, XP Office, media player, calendar and games as part of the Ubisurfer’s software bundle.

However, what really sweetens the deal is the free internet usage each month. Those who want to upgrade to unlimited web browsing, can do so for an additional £5.99 per month or £59.99 for the life of the product. After the first year of the free 30 hours of internet access is up, users will pay £29.99 thereafter. There are roaming fees of 5p per minute for those users visiting the USA or Europe.
The Ubisurfer is available now and currently retails at £159.99 including the free internet.
