Here at coated, we see a number of pc case mods and it’s always interesting to read the rationale behind the mod design. Instructables has posted a case mod known as the suitcase mod. As the name implies, this unique design fits a fully working computer within a suitcase.

The custom computer case was designed to hold a LAMP development server and the designer was forward enough to advise that this case may not meet “modest safety standards.”

The original design included placing the server within a leather satchel and although it looked nice, it didn’t give the designer the protection he sought as this pc runs DJ software (Mixxx) that he uses at house parties.

As such, a second version of this mod was created, placing the computer within a hard shell case.
