If you’ve got a degree in engineering or a knack for do it yourself projects, the next time your significant other is looking to purchase a coffee table, save the money and just let them know that you’ll take care of the whole thing and not only will they get a coffee table, but an entertainment unit as well.
The LED Coffee Table will debut at the Maker Faire Austin, but if you’re hoping to go the easy route and purchase one, it’s not for sale. The table took nearly two years to develop and required 64 RGB serial matrices, 4 Atari controllers, and an LPC2106 dev board but the end result is fantastic.
