Cool Lamps – Electric Eraser Lamp

Here’s an interesting cool table lamp design known as the Electric Eraser Lamp.

This lamp draws inspiration from the early school years when young children were required to buy HB pencils and rubber erasers as part of their back to school supplies. If you remember the erasers, they often had a cover exposing just the two ends of the eraser.

The Electric Eraser Lamp is horizontally long and the center part of the light source is covered by an opaque material. Rather then having a dimmer switch to change the light intensity, you push the central light source out from under it’s cover for more lighting.

Hence, if you’re reading a book and need lots of light, just push out enough of the lamp to meet your lighting needs. If on the other hand, you’re planning a romantic dinner for two and need mood lighting, you’d probably only want to push out very little of the light from it’s cover.
