Consumer Reports Reviews The iPhone 5 And It's Good

The iPhone has always had a strong and loyal cult like following and with the iPhone 5, sales continue to remain strong. Recently, the news just got better for the new iPhone with Consumer Reports weighing in with a review of their own. Unlike some of the other Apple devices such as the new iPad which Consumer Reports had a concern about the running temperature, overall, the review of the iPhone 5 is positive and this even with the ongoing challenges that the smartphone has had with Apple Maps.

Essentially, Consumer Reports went on the record to confirm that the iPhone 5 is rated as one of the best smartphones that they have reviewed. Even though Apple Maps has been a sore point on the iOS device, it still has enough functionality for now, although it does fall short of some of the free apps (eg. Google Maps) that are available on competitor handsets. Interestingly enough, Consumer reports didn’t say that the iPhone 5 is the best smartphone that you can buy today, but rather it did say that it rates the device amongst one of the best available on the market.

Consumer Reports carries a lot of weight within the market and with strong competitors such as Samsung and their Galaxy S III waiting in the wings, a positive report by the site can be viewed as nothing but a good thing for Apple.
