Concept Gadgets – Laser Wall At Every Crosswalk

The Laser Wall or Virtual Wall is a concept gadget that is meant to replace and/or enhance the function of traffic lights at pedestrian intersections.

Using plasma laser beams and red lasers, the Virtual Wall would project a wall with silhouettes of people moving across the intersection. The Virtual Wall would be a can’t miss, visual signal of when the light changes.

This is an interesting concept gadget that could save lives considering the number of accidents at intersections but there are some unanswered questions regarding this project. For instance, a laser stream cannot usually be seen during the day unless it is reflected off of another surface or particle such as smoke. So the question is, how would the Laser Wall work during the day?
