UK-based Squid London has introduced a series of color changing umbrellas that contain hydrochromatic ink. When the umbrellas are dry, they have a desaturated color scheme.
As the umbrella gets wet in the rain, the special ink cause the umbrellas to change into a variety of funky colors.
In cities that have high rainfall, these cool umbrellas would be one way to brighten an otherwise dreary day. At this time, this limited edition collection is fully sold out, but demand was high. I’m sure that there will be other manufacturers that will try and capture some of the success of these umbrellas.
