Just when you think you’ve taught your kids how to accurately tell time, another cool clock known as Chronochrome hits the market. With Chronochrome, time is told using colors. In order to be able to tell time on this clock, you don’t need to worry about the hands on the clock as there are none.

Instead, you need to memorize a color chart consisting of 10 colors. Each color represents a number and it is the sequence of colors in the banding pattern that determines what the current time is.
Is it a practical, probably not. However, it is a fun gadget and you will get a lot of blank stares from your friends as you recite the exact time to them simply by glancing over at the Chronochrome. In fact, if you know someone that loves puzzles and can’t wait to get their hands on the latest Sudoku puzzle, they’d probably get a kick out of this unique clock.

Really cute watch, I hope kids learn to use it quick because frankly I am quite confused…:).

Hi,
It is a confusing clock, I’m sure it would take some time before someone is comfortable with the color coding.

Just to let your readers know: It’s a clock of about 9 inches in width, and 3.5 inches height. Not a watch!
Thanks.
I have had great fun with my family learning to tell the time with this clock, and the light shows are great for adding a bit of atmosphere at parties. I have bought some for our childrens friends at school – they have competitions to learn it the quickest – Im sure that if my 11 year old and his friends can have fun learning it then most people wont be confused. It is a fun little challenge to enjoy, a real eye catcher and quite entrancing.
