Earlier this month, we heard about an Apple iPhone 4 clone called the GPS-PHONE and now we’re hearing about another replica phone that is being assembled in a Shenzen factory and sold to Chinese citizens.
The base price for a genuine 16GB iPhone 4 is $199 on the Apple website and the cloned ePhone 4GS goes for $85. The clone is made out of cheap plastic, but for some that are not familiar with the handset, this may go unnoticed. It’s when you power on the clone that you’ll quickly see the low resolution display screen that is not a retina display. The ePhone 4GS does share some traits in common with the original including 16GB memory and a pair of front and rear facing cameras.
How do you feel, would you ever consider buying a cloned handset?

I have one of the first pre-I phone 4 clones. I live in China and I had this phone since December 2009. At first, I was shy to show it off because it did not look like an I phone 3G or 3GS. But, no I am proud as punch.
Report: The screen is scratched and the first lithium battery is starting to wear out. Signal problems = zero, 0. Yes, no rectina display… no big deal. Sound quality is good, but not great.
