After a very close, hard fought competition, Nick and Danielle Bilton came out victorious and named grand champions in the 2008 Cupcake Decorating Competition. Who knew there was such a thing, but there is. The competition was part of Ignite NYC II that was attended by over 500 people.
Twelve contestants made it to the final round and were named champions, but it was the Bilton’s iPhone cupcakes that captured the hearts and probably taste buds of those in attendance. It just goes to show the great accomplishments that geeks with cooking skills can accomplish.

Strictly a design concept of Tom Eriksson, how fun would it be to see a seesaw bench in a park. For maximum fun, you’d just have to make sure that when you share a bench, it is with someone of similar weight.

The origins of the Encoder Ring started out as an investigation to see how to store confidential digital information away from prying eyes, the results of which were the rings. The surface of the Encoder Rings are covered by a series of notches and depressions which actually represent letters in binary code. The user can select a 64 character message, have it converted to binary and etched onto the ring using a process known as rapid proto-typing.
With a limitation of only 64 characters, is this useful? Not sure. Geeky, most definitely.
