The Yogen Max laptop charger ranks up there with the hand crank notebook charger in terms of it’s simplicity. Still in the prototype stage, this foldable laptop charger is man-powered and requires no external power supply. Instead, this charger makes use of foot power to charge a laptop. With solar technology so prominent these days, you’d have to wonder why it wasn’t incorporated into the design, but if this design gets past the prototype stage and cost of production remains low, this would provide a nice alternative charger for the cheap laptops that are being distributed to some impoverished countries. In addition, as Guy Ofir, Chief Executive Officer of Easy Energy states, “This unique product will allow for the complete charging of a laptop anywhere in the world, inside or outside, wired or not.”

As part of Design Tokyo, Joonhuyn Kim revealed his “bright idea” - A concept for a flat light bulb.

Why change the bulb shape to flat? Joonhuyn Kim believes that the flat shape of his light bulb design will reduce the volume by 1/3, thereby reducing both packaging material and costs.
