Toshiba has announced the availability of the Qosmio® X305-Q708 gaming laptop. This is Toshiba’s most powerful laptop to date and has been designed with gamers in mind. Rumors are abound that Asus will introduce a new notebook in Q1 of 2009. What’s interesting about this rumor is the fact that the new notebook will not ship with a physical QWERTY keyboard. Rather, the notebook will have two displays with the lower display acting as a virtual keyboard. The new notebook is expected to run on Windows 7 only and specialized software will be required to activate the virtual keyboard.
Laptops are great for their portability, you can just about take a laptop anywhere and setup shop. The entire unit is self contained which is a real plus, but for some, having to use a trackpad or trackpoint can be a real pain, especially if this is something you are not quite comfortable with.
