Many of us have probably felt the frustration of being on the road and looking through the rear view mirror to see someone tailgating. For those that live in bigger cities and have longer commutes, this can almost be a daily occurrence with the number of impatient drivers on the road these days.

It was only a matter of time before we would see a fridge in a car and it seems to be a practical idea. At least, it appears that Ford thinks this way and has introduced a fridge in their 2009 Ford Flex lineup of cars. At a price tag of $760, this isn’t just a compartment that is cooled by the air conditioning, but rather, this is a full fledge fridge with a compressor similar to what you find with a home fridge. The built in fridge can lower the temperature of a beverage to 41 degrees in 2.5 hours, while an optional freezer can chill an item to 23 degrees Fahrenheit.
Shenzhen MCD Electronics has developed a rear view mirror for the car with a built in GPS unit. Details regarding pricing and availability are still a bit sketchy.
However, this does look like an elegant product.

Some of the highlights of the product include 3.5 inch TFT touchscreen, support for 8 languages, as well as Document (PDF), Video (MP4, AVI, ASF, WMV) and Audio (MP3, WMA, WAV) support.
All this will be backed with what the manufacturer promises as favorable pricing, a 2 year warranty, and prompt delivery.
