Casio Oceanus line - worlds first atomic solar watch

Casio has announced the launch of it’s Oceanus line of watches (model OCWM800TBA-1A). What’s unique about these watches is the claim for being the worlds first atomic solar powered chronograph watch.

The Oceanus line is boasts Multi-Band 5 Atomic Timekeeping which guarantees accurate timekeeping by means of radio calibration with signals received from US, UK, Germany and Japan.

These watches also come with what is known as “Tough Solar Power”, which uses either sunlight or indoor light to charge the battery cells of the watch. Some of the other features of this watch include world time, an alarm clock, water resistance and a countdown timer.

Looks pretty nice – so how much is it?

My Seiko Brightz World Atomic Time Solar has been great to me for the last 2 years. I might get this Casio now.

It looks like the suggested retail price for the Super Chronograph will be about $900 and it is available now.
