Office equipment routinely gets abused and some employers are going to extremes to keep track of their employees and their day to day activities. We’ve got internet monitoring software installed on computers or on a central server, security cameras to prevent theft and a wide variety of other assorted measures in place to prevent abuse.

Canon Japan is launching their new imageRUNNER ADVANCE MFP devices that will feature fingerprint authentication software. These network printers offer copy, fax, print and scan functionality and require user authentication prior to use. The printer will go on sale in Japan for $1,460.
