Buy Your Motorola Droid X On July 15th For $199

Over the last little while, we’ve heard a fair bit about the Motorola Droid X and we’ve even seen some leaked pictures of the Android handset next to a the Droid Eris, Evo 4G and the iPhone.

All we need now is a confirmed launch date and price and of course, Verizon (NYSE:VZ), Motorola (NYSE:MOT), and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG) have made this official. The Motorola Droid X can be yours on July 15th for $199. This will be final price post $100 rebate and will require signing a two year service contract. A data plan can be had for $29.99 per month and an extra $20 per month will get you a mobile hotspot plan that will come with a 2GB bandwidth limit.

Within the US, Verizon will be the exclusive mobile carrier and as an added bonus, any Verizon customer whose Verizon contract expires in 2010 will be eligible for further discount pricing on the Droid X.
