Buffalo first announced their plans for the Dualie, the world’s first ever dual docking station for a portable hard drive and an iPod/iPhone, last year. Fan raves were minimal, however, so it’ll be interesting to see how well it’ll perform now that it’s finally out on the market.
The Buffalo Dualie quietly made its launch on Apple online stores and the Buffalo product page a few days ago. It sports a 500GB portable hard drive and a 2.0 dual dock for your iPod or iPhone. It also has two USB ports, a mini-USB port, and DC power output.
What’s great about the Dualie is that you can sync files as well as access digital media on the portable hard drive all the while your Apple device is docked. The Dualie comes with several different adapters that lets you sync all kinds of iPods and iPhones on it. The portable hard drive is formatted for — what else? — Mac users, although it has the drivers necessary to run Windows.
Interested? The Buffalo Dualie will set you back a reasonable $249.95.
