Buffalo is looking to grow their lineup of portable external hard drives with the addition of the new MiniStation HD-PCTU2. The new drives, which will be available in Japan starting next week will be available in three drive sizes, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB.
The drives are of the 2.5-inch variety and come with a respectable glossy enclosure. Connectivity between the external HDD and the PC is maintained through a USB 2.0 connection and Buffalo has also thrown in their Eco Manager software that is said to drop power consumption by roughly 20%.
The Buffalo drives will be available in either black or white and will sell between $119-$200 depending upon the drive size selected.
