Here’s another method to try and solve the issue with what to do with all the extra cord that is not in use when listening to an mp3 player. Bone Wrap, the bone shaped earphone cord wrap is the solution presented by Fruitshop.
Bone Wrap is similar to the other simple methods of clearing the spare cords, the only difference is aesthetics. Bone Wrap is cute but I do question how many people will like to use this design, especially amongst school age kids. The schoolyard can be a tough place and young kids are always looking to try and fit in. It’s very possible that kids with self esteem or who are marginalized in school may get teased with immature name calling such as “fido’s finally got a bone”.
If however, you’re older and have a love for dogs and take your dog for walks daily, this might be a nice addition for you mp3 player during your walks with the dog.
The nice thing about Bone Wrap is it is made of washable silicone, is dust proof as well as biodegradable.
Personally, the solution that I really liked for dealing with excess cord was the Wire Button by Jaehyung Hong. It was stylish and simple.
