If you have a large number of gadgets around the home, you probably have the same number of battery chargers as well as it seems technology vendors like to create proprietary adapters to increase their revenues. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a standard or universal charger?

Bluelounge Refresh Charging Station

There’s been talk of this for a while and there has also been some discussions about designing a wireless charging station, a mat upon which you could place all your devices and forget about them for a few hours, only to come back and find that they are all charged.

We’re not quite there yet, but Bluelounge has launched a Refresh Charging Station that looks to be a step in the right direction. It’s not wireless, but it includes six connectors, 2 USB, 1 Mini USB, 1 Micro USB and 2 specifically for the Apple iPod/iPhone. Additional adapters are available for the Nokia and Motorola mobile phones as well as for the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS if you happen to use these gaming units.

Although the Bluelounge isn’t wireless, it does offer an orderly means by which to recharge all of your gadgets so that they are ready for use the next time you need them.
