Analysts and customers have been patiently waiting for the announcement regarding Research In Motion’s or should I say the newly rebranded BlacBerry’s upcoming product launches. At an event held earlier this week, we heard that the company had changed their name to BlackBerry and we had a chance to learn a bit more about their new BlackBerry 10 devices.
The launch event was held in New York City which is the media centre of the world and to give further evidence that BlackBerry is going all out with their announcement of new products, the company will be airing a commercial in today’s Super Bowl. The actual commercial hasn’t been leaked or released by the company just yet which means that unless things change, we’ll have to wait for the big game to actually view it, but the Waterloo company did release one still image from the commercial.
In the image, it would appear that we are standing on a city street where a colour explosion of some sort has taken place. It’s not a lot to go on, so the guesses as to just what has taken place can be all over the map. Will we see Alicia Keys, BlackBerry’s global creative director is not known, nor do we know if BlackBerry will go after either Samsung or Apple in this commercial. According to BlackBerry’s press release, the Super Bowl is a social experience and part of the reason why they are releasing this one image is to get fans talking about BlackBerry 10 during this social event.
