Research In Motion (RIM) may deny the existence of the Blackberry Pearl 9100, their latest edition to the Pearl series, but Crackberry has managed to capture a couple of snaps of the “secret device.” Designed like the slim down Pearl 9700, the new design includes a SureType keyboard as well replaces the problematic trackball with a nifty new optical trackpad. That’s got to be good news considering some models such as the Blackberry Tour 9630 had a 50% return rate due to problems with the trackball.

The Pearl 9100 also appears to run on the 3G network which will hopefully signal that RIM will abandon 2G across their entire product line. With these leaks, RIM may decide to release further information information regarding this product sooner rather then later and as it does, we’ll be sure to bring it to you.
