BioShock 2 is a great game, but by this time I’m pretty sure most gamers have finished it already. And apparently 2K Games guesses the same thing, and has announced that piles of downloadable content will be heading our way beginning next month. The upgrades will cover both single-player and multiplayer.
Some may think it’s a bit cynical for a game company to “drip-feed” their fans with DLC, but I’m sure many BioShock fans won’t mind paying a few extra dollars for dozens more hours of enjoyment with a great game. In March, the Sinclair Solutions Test Pack will be available on the PlayStation Network for about US$5.00, and on the Xbox LIVE for 400 Microsoft Points.
This first DLC will give a new weapon upgrade for each gun in your arsenal, two new playable characters, five extra masks, the rank increase maximum raised to 50, and 20 new trials.
It’s not just for multiplayer, either — the single-player mode gets an upgrade with more levels. That alone should be worth the money.
More DLC packages will be coming over the next few months, so keep an eye out for them on your console’s online hub.
