If it looks like a plastic cup, if it feels like a plastic cup, it probably is a plastic cup right? Nope. So how do I know that….because it’s written on the cup for all to see.
Biopac has come out with a variety of different drink containers ranging from pint tumblers to cups. These disposable products are biodegradable as they are made from polylactic acid (PLA), a compound derived from corn starch.
One of the interesting characteristics of the Biopac tumbler is the fact that they are smash proof and will not splinter like plastic containers do when they are crushed. This reduces the risk of injury, especially when young kids are using these cups.
Biopac is certainly gaining market share. Should more companies move from plastic products to biodegradable ones, this will certainly place less strain on the environment and reduce the amount of debris in the landfills. This is one great product for the environment.
