Bell, Rogers, Telus Will Carry The BlackBerry Torch This Month

The three largest Canadian mobile carriers, Bell, Rogers and Telus will all be carrying the BlackBerry Torch as of September 24th, this despite its sluggish performance down in the United States. When the RIM handset goes live, Rogers will sell it for $199.99 on a provisional 3-year service contract. Bell has confirmed that they will match Rogers on the price for this handset, but Telus has only indicated that they will be “competitive”.

The Canadian price point that has been established is comparable to what folks in the US pay as AT&T has the same phone available for $199.99 US with the difference being in the length of the service contract. AT&T only requires a 2 year contract whereas the Canadian mobile carriers are seeking a 3 year term.
