In 2009, Rocksteady released Batman: Arkham Asylum, an action adventure game that was based upon DC Comic’s superhero Batman. The game drew positive reviews from gamers and reviewers alike and in fact was recognized as the “Most Critically Acclaimed Superhero Game Ever.”

With such a strong and loyal following, it was only a matter of time before a sequel would come and this has now been confirmed. The second game in this series is Batman: Arkham City and is due to arrive next year in the fall sometime. Though full game details are unavailable, we do know that none other then Gotham city will be the backdrop and it has also been confirmed that Catwoman, Harley Quinn, The Joker, The Riddler and Two-Face will appear in the game. We could also possibly see Mr. Freeze and Talia al Ghul.
