Barnes and Noble are giving you another couple of reasons to consider buying an ebook reader and specifically the Nook eReader. First is the launch of a WiFi only Android book reader that will sell for $149. The new reader has all the features of the original reader, differing only in the fact that it lacks 3G support.
Along with this, B&N will drop the price of the original nook by $50 making the new price $149. There is also a new software release, version 1.4 for the nook that is available.
Version 1.4 comes with three main features. These include larger display fonts, a Go-To Page feature to quickly access a certain page in your ebook and improved AT&T Wi-Fi Hotspot support that gives you free access to AT&T’s full WiFi network.
If you’re anxious to get the update, it is available as a manual apply through the nook support page. An auto update is still pending.
