Bandai’s Luminodot brings back fond childhood memories of the Lite-Brite. How did that go again. One peg for the pegboard, one for the mouth. For it’s era, Lite-Brite was great, allowing children to use their imagination to create unique and wonderful masterpieces that only a child and his parent would love.

Bandai’s Luminodot modernizes Lite-Brite and introduces a whole new generation of kids to the wonders of art. Using 3500 pegs on a 70×50 pegboard, Luminodot offers twice the resolution as the original Lite-Brite. Along with this, the pegboard offers full backlight illumination and supports 25 preprogrammed animated sequences.

The game also comes with a variety of included design templates, but the best part is that you can go online and use the available PDF template generator to create your own templates.

At this time, Luminodot is only available in Japan for approximately $96 USD, but like many products, it should only be a matter of time before it becomes available on this side of the ocean.
