Bandai Japan has released their RilakKuma netbook. Geared towards young kids, this new netbook features the RilakKuma or “Relax Bear”, a Japanese character loved by young people throughout the island nation.

The kid friendly netbook includes an Atom N270 Intel Processor (1.6 GHz) and comes standard with 1GB of Ram, 8.9 inch 1024 x 600 pixel display, 1Seg digital TV tuner and a 160GB hard drive. Wireless internet connections are supported using the integrated 802.11b/g WiFi adapter.

The Bandai netbook will only be sold in Japan for about 79,800 yen ($865 US), with LalaBit Market’s online store being the official product distributor. The MSRP is high for a netbook, but this is a themed product as well as a limited edition with sales capped at a maximum of 500 units.
