The typical office keyboard doesn’t have a lot of personality. Usually it’s a wired keyboard and probably not ergonomic because of budgetary constraints.
Although the bamboo computer keyboard isn’t ergonomically correct, it is a nice alternative to the rather plain, plastic keyboards and as an added feature, is said to prevent static electricity discharges.
Made from bamboo, this keyboard is an environmentally friendly green product that introduces a bit of nature into the usual sterile office environment.
According to Zhang Lina, a sales manager of the Jiangqiao Bamboo and Wood Industry Co. Ltd, sales of these USB keyboards have been brisk, with 20,000 units having been shipped to wholesalers and another 20,000 still waiting to be delivered. Most of the units have been exported to European and American markets where demand has been great.
The bamboo keyboards retail for $12-$44.
