Toshiba recently released their latest updated Portable Hard Drives that work with both the Mac and Windows operating system. The Portable Hard Drives are password protected and come with NTI’s BackupNow EZ software, a first in its class. BackupNow EZ software can backup and restore the entire system, even if Windows does not start, thus ensuring that all files and photos are protected even in the worst of computer crashes.

The Portable Hard Drives feature an intuitive interface that’s perfect for both beginners and advanced users alike. Beginners can take advantage of the system scan and recommendations done by the software, while advanced users may opt for the customized features such as choosing their backup settings including frequency, level of security and files saved.

Windows and Mac Toshiba drives both feature password protected security with up to 256 bit encryption as well as a drive space alert feature that informs users if the storage capacity is low. The NTI’s Shadow 4, the software for Mac users is also compatible with Apple’s Time Machine and allows users to arrange their backup schedule as they see fit.

The Portable Hard Drives are available in both 320 GB and 500 GB, retailing at $120 and $150 respectively. The drives weigh six ounces and come in four bold colours– white, green, blue and red.
