AT&T has developed a new application for the Apple iPhone that allows AT&T customers to easily report mobile phone problems in a given network area. Users will be able to report such things as poor coverage, dropped calls, data errors as well as a general network outages.

The software application is free to download and install through iTunes.

According to a statement released,

AT&T is committed to providing its customers with the best network experience possible. This application will help contribute towards this goal and its utilization is greatly appreciated.

It will be interesting to see what type of priority AT&T will place on these user reports. I’m sure they will look at volume of reports, outage severity and number of people affected when determining what network issues to tackle first.
