Asus UL30Vt CULV Notebook

Asus has added the UL30Vt to it’s UL notebook series. Keeping with the theme of ultra portable and ultra thin, the new Asus laptop measures less then 1-inch, weighs 1.5 kg and comes complete with an attractive aluminum brush finish.

Under the hood, the Asus notebook includes your choice of either a 1.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo Processor or a 1.2 Ghz Intel Celeron processor. There is also support for up to 4GB RAM and a 2.5-inch 5400 RPM 500GB SATA hard drive.

One of the nice features of the laptop is the inclusion of dual video cards, an integrated Intel GMA X4500MHD graphic card and an NVida GeForce G 210M graphic card. The advantage of this is battery management as you can enjoy some online gaming with the more powerful NVida graphics card, but if you happen to realize that you have low battery, you can switch to the more energy efficient Intel card and wrap up that MS Word document that you’re working on. Asus has also integrated Power 4 Gear technology within the notebook which is said to improve battery life, offering up to 12 hours of use with a single charge.

The Asus notebook comes complete with the Windows 7 operating system, Bluetooth and WiFi 802.11b/g/n connectivity, 0.3MP webcam and a 4 in 1 card reader. Expect to pay roughly $750 for this notebook.
