It was believed that Asus was developing a netbook with a multitouch display and today with the ASUS T101MT, we have confirmation that this is a reality.
The Asus netbook is powered by the Intel Atom N450 that offers performance as well as faster boot up times. Out of the box, the hardware specifications on this device include an LED backlit 10.1-inch multitouch swivel display with 1024 x 600 pixel resolution, 1GB DDR2 RAM (optional 2GB) and a 160GB (optional 320GB) hard drive. Additionally, up to 500GB of online storage space will also be available through ASUS WebStorage.
The netbook also comes with Bluetooth and WiFi technology, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, 3 USB 2.0 data ports, Ethernet port, audio jacks as well as a VGA output port and SD/SDHC/SDXC card reader.
The Asus netbook includes your color choice of either black or white as well as either Windows 7 Starter or Windows 7 Home Premium. As usual, a launch date is not available nor is the purchase price, although some are suggesting it should be around $700 depending upon the specs selected.
