
Asus has added a new machine to it’s Eee series, this time the Asus Eee PC 1201N netbook. The new netbook claims to offer significant multimedia performance gains due to a couple of new enhancements such as an Intel Atom 330 dual core processor and a dedicated Nvidia ION graphics card that supports HD video.
Other standard features on the Asus netbook include 2GB RAM, 250GB hard drive along with 500GB of online data storage through Asus, Windows 7 operating system and a 12-inch screen display with 1366 x 768 pixel resolution.
The netbook is thin (1.3-inches thick) and light (3.2 pounds) making it a highly portable unit. The ion packing Eee pc which will be available in mid-December for $500 will also include a 6 cell battery with a 5 hour battery life and will support network connections via WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth 2.1.
