Asus has unveiled their latest Eee netbook, the Asus Eee 1005PR netbook. The new model is based upon the earlier Eee PC 100PE and includes a 10.1-inch LED backlit widescreen display that supports 720p HD video due to the inclusion of a Broadcom BCM 70015 HD decoder.

Along with this, the Asus netbook is powered by an Intel Atom N450 CPU and comes with 1GB RAM (upgradeable to 2GB) and a 250GB hard drive that is further supplemented by WebStorage, Asus’ online storage solution that offers mobile users an additional 500GB of online data storage free for one year.

The 1005PR also includes a webcam, 3 USB ports, 1 RJ45 Ethernet port, a card reader for MMC and SD/SDHC memory cards, WiFi (802.11 b/g/n) with optional Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR technology, a 6-cell battery and Microsoft Windows 7 Starter Edition.

The netbook will be available in blue, pink and white and is likely to retail for about $400, though no firm pricing nor release dates have been announced just yet.
