Pre-orders for the Apple iPhone 4 wasn’t the only bit of Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) news for today as the Cupertino based company has confirmed a refresh of their Mac Mini lineup.
The new models are a nice alternative to the MacBook and iMac if you’re looking to pickup an Apple. The latest Mac Mini comes in a slim unibody case that is 1.4-inches in height or roughly two inches shorter then the earlier version. In addition to this, it will come with an SD card slot and an NVIDIA GeForce 320M graphics card, an upgrade from the slower 9400M. For data ports, the Mac Mini will sport wired Ethernet, FireWire 800, Mini-DVI, 4 USB ports and an HDMI port which will please the folks looking for a multimedia device to add to their home entertainment system.
There are two variants of Mac Mini computers being released. The entry level $700 model will offer up a 2.4-GHz processor, 2GB Ram and a 320GB HDD while an extra $300 will get you a faster processor in the 2.66-GHz processor as well as 4GB RAM, dual 500GB hard drives and OS X Server.
