Earlier in the week, Apple had confirmed at their media event that their latest iteration of their operating system, iOS 4.2 would be coming to the iPad tablet. The official release date is still slated for November, some two months down the road, but Apple has now setup a webpage on their site that is dedicated to iOS 4.2.

When the new version of the operating system does go live, it will bring with it in excess of one hundred new features and innovations of which some of the more prominent ones include the much sought after multitasking that will allow users to toggle between open applications much in the same way that this feature works on the iPhone with iOS 4.0. A couple of other notable features is iPad printing to a printer on a wireless network as well as “folders” so you can organize your apps using drag-and-drop.
