In an inadvertent leak, Apple has let the cat out of the bag indicating that iOS 4.1 will be available on Wednesday. During the Apple Event, Steve Jobs, Apple’s Chief Executive Officer did indicate that the update would be available this week, but the exact timing was not known.

Over the weekend, the Apple UK website had a brief update stating that this iOS 4.1 would come on Wednesday, September 8th. The leak was quickly identified and shortly thereafter, the UK site was revised stating that the download would be “coming soon”, which is the same message that is seen on the Apple US website.
