Apple has announced their profits for the last quarter and the results are staggering. Despite the problems that the company has faced with the iPhone 4 antenna and the threats of potential class action lawsuits, Apple saw their revenues jump by 88% to $15.7 billion. Net profits were also up by 78% to $3.25 billion.
Apple’s financial results have exceeded the expectations of many financial analysts who remain bullish on Apple stock. Apple has seen success with many of their products last quarter. It was a record quarter for Mac sales with 3.47 million units sold. iPhone sales jumped 61% from a year ago with 8.4 million units sold and the newly released iPad tablet saw sales of 3.27 million. The iPod however did see an 8% decline in sales from last year with 9.41 million units sold.
Apple has posted some strong results and though the company maintains that only a minority of its users are complaining about signal loss with the iPhone 4 and has offered suggestions, it will be interesting to see how this story will affect next quarter results.
